gG - fuses with full-range, general-purpose breaking power

aM - fuses with reduced-range breaking capacity for motor short-circuit protection (these cartridges must always be combined with an overload protection device)

gR/gS - fuses with full-range breaking capacity for the protection of semiconductor circuits

aR - fuses with reduced-range breaking power for short-circuit protection of semiconductor circuits
