The CT406/7 extractor allows the extraction of the audio signal in two modes: digital optical (Toslink SPDIF) and analogue (Stereo 3.5mm) starting from an input HDMI (audio-video) signal. The pass-through HDMI output maintains full support of the incoming signal.

Three Audio Modes

1 - PASS Mode: HDMI to 3.5mm jack 2.0CH or SPDIF/Toslink 5.1CH

(Depends on the TV's Default Audio format)

2 - 2.0CH Mode: HDMI to 3.5mm 2.0CH jack

3 - 5.1CH Mode: HDMI to SPDIF/Toslink 5.1CH

Attention

1 - When the audio signal input is 5.1CH surround and the switch button is set to 2.0CH audio, then the converter will output 2.0CH audio for Toslink, 3.5mm audio and HDMI ports.

2 - When the audio signal input is 5.1CH surround and the switch button is set to 5.1CH audio, the converter will output 5.1CH audio to the Toslink and HDMI ports. The 3.5mm audio port will be malfunctioning because the stereo jack does not support 5.1CH mode.

3 - When the audio signal input is 2.0CH surround then all ports will output 2.0CH audio.

4 - When the button is set to PASS audio then the output audio channel will be determined by the supported audio channel of the connected HDMI TV display output.

IMPORTANT: 5.1 surround sound with Dolby® Digital technology is not supported by analogue devices (3.5mm stereo jack socket).
