Description
The Giacomini adapter is the fitting for plumbing systems suitable for the safe and reliable connection of straight or angle valves, simple or modular manifolds and other products to the multilayer/plastic pipes of the system.
The mechanical fitting is made of high-quality brass, with an EPDM O-ring compliant with EN 681-1 and a plastic separation ring, ensuring maximum hydraulic seal and resistance to corrosion.
When connecting multilayer pipes to thermohydraulic distribution/regulation systems, the interposition of the plastic separation ring between the exposed surface of the metallic layer of the pipe and the body of the adapter prevents the onset of electrocorrosive phenomena that could compromise the reliability of the joint. An excessive value of the tightening torque at the terminal of the thermohydraulic distribution/regulation system risks compromising both the mechanical and hydraulic behavior of the fitting.
