Description
The EPR900 self-fusing tape is made of a special compound based on ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) which, upon application, fuses on itself to form a single waterproof and acid-resistant block.
Applications
• Electrical insulation/protection of joints and repair of electrical cables both in the air and underground.
• Waterproof seals in sleeve joints on telecommunications cables.
• Repair and protection of flexible and plastic hoses.
• Corrosion protection of metal pipelines.
Features and benefits
• Applied in traction, it mixes quickly, homogeneously and without voids. It does not require external heat or pressure.
• Compatible with the insulation of a wide range of rubber and plastic electrical cables such as polyethylene, cross-polyethylene, rubber
propylene-ethylene, PVC, butyl, neoprene and many others.
• The tape is non-sticky and easy to handle and apply.
• Highly resistant to prolonged immersion in water.
For better protection, we recommend covering it with insulating tape. Self-fusing rubber tape, for insulating medium voltage cable conductors and for sealing or reinforcing the insulation of cables. The product mixes quickly if applied under mechanical tension, taking advantage of its elasticity.
