What are the interesting features of the product?

First of all, it is sold in a built-in version or in a wall version which is slightly thicker. The built-in version can be installed on 503 boxes and can simply replace the previous thermostat as well: just remove the thermostat mounted on the 503 box and replace it with the new Smarther2, as long as it is powered by 220V.

 

But what is the peculiarity of the new BTicino thermostat?

Meanwhile, in addition to white, it is also offered in the black and sand version, to be so easily combined with the Living Now colors. A fundamental feature is the possibility of operating Smarther2 with the same application as the smarther system; unlike Smarther1 which works exclusively with the Thermostat application. With Smarther2 it is also possible to control the climate of the Smart home system: no longer just roller shutters, lights or electrical system!

Smarther2 guarantees total and complete management of temperature control: both with central heating and with an autonomous heating system.

 

How does it connect to the Home + Control application?

First of all, the thermostat is installed in the flush-mounted box 503, connecting the base with which the thermostat is fitted to the system. Once installed, proceed by connecting the thermostat to the application.

The thermostat is touch: the temperature detected in the room where it is installed is visible in the home, with a simple swipe touch you can view the set temperature controlled by the arrows on the right side of the thermostat and with another touch you can view the percentage of humidity detected. Another feature is the Boost function which allows the boiler to be activated for 30, 60 or 90 minutes without changing the heating switch-on hourly settings.

 

How does the insertion of the thermostat in the Home + Control application work?

From the menu, the product is simply added to the others already in the list by configuring it by following the instructions that appear in the application interface step by step, connecting the thermostat to the home's Wi-Fi network. At this point, select the environment in which you want to install the thermostat and view the temperature detected with the percentage of humidity directly from the application. Within the application it is also possible to manage each function of the thermostat, from the time slots in which to activate heating to the Boost function. In the parameters tab you can also activate the touch of the screen, select the sound of the "keys" and the hysteresis threshold.

Within the application you can quickly and easily calibrate the temperature perceived by the thermostat through the True Temperature function: select the temperature recorded by the previous thermostat and thus calibrate the temperature detected by the new Smarther2.

 

How do I manage the temperature of each room?

In this case, the smart heads of the Netatmo valves must be installed, which will communicate directly with the thermostat and directly control the temperature of each room by communicating the settings chosen by the user to Smarther2.

From the application, it is also possible to manage and plan the heating switch-on and the temperature control day by day, hour by hour. The thermostat, in fact, connected to the mobile phone application, perceives, thanks to the GPS, the presence or absence of the user in the home, thus intervening on the shutdown of the boiler in the absence of people, setting a basic temperature in order to limit energy expenditure.
