Description
This type of backflow preventer is suitable for protecting drinking water systems from backpressure, backflow, and reverse siphoning. They can be used in residential buildings and for industrial and commercial purposes within the specified specifications.
Fluids up to category 4 in accordance with EN 1717 are protected.
BA model backflow preventers are divided into three pressure zones. The pressure in zone 1 is higher than that in zone 2, which in turn is higher than the pressure in zone 3. A relief valve connected to zone 2 opens when the differential pressure between zones 1 and 2 drops to 0.14 bar. Water is discharged from zone 2, both check valves close, and zones 2, 1, and 3 are separated. This prevents the risk of backpressure, backflow, and reverse siphoning in the water supply.
The pipe connection is interrupted and the drinking water network is protected.
