Description
A backflow preventer is a device used to protect the system from intermittent risks. It consists of two check valves separated by a chamber communicating with the atmosphere. The chamber is closed by a shutter connected to the upstream valve. In the event of a vacuum upstream of the device or overpressure downstream with a leak at the second check valve, the intermediate chamber vents to the atmosphere, isolating the upstream and downstream circuits and preventing the backflow of contaminated water.
When installing the device on the system, remember some precautions such as the minimum distance of 150 mm from the body of the device, do not immerse the drain valve.
Recommended for domestic heating systems with power less than 70 kW,
vending machines for drinks, some laboratory equipment, etc.
